In the beginning....

We are getting closer and closer to living on the road.  We have bought the truck +Ford F450 dually, and the 5th wheel.  The truck, I have been informed, is one of the biggest you can buy, sitting at 22 ft long. We decided to go with a Keystone Raptor Velocity 395LEV.  What that means to me is BIG.  It's 43 ft long, with 3 slide outs and all the bells and whistles it seems.  It is just enormous.  I keep wondering how we are going to keep it within the lanes on the highway.  The "we" part is kind of a joke because I'll probably yelling, screaming, cringing, or closing my eyes while Jason is driving!
There is a lot more planning than just buying the right vehicles, but we are still waiting to make any other decisions at this time.  We do have a RV site for the month of May until the middle of June when the boys school gets out.  This will be our trial and error time, but close enough to our normal life that adjustments can be made.

I have applied to several travel nursing companies, but can't begin to think of where we might go on our first adventure until it gets closer to "go time".  By mid-May we should have a destination in mind.
We have done research on several home school programs and have one in mind, but will not be starting the boys homeschooling until August at the earliest.  We are planning to get our life in order on the road first and learn about all of our personal space issues before we throw in another obstacle.
Some of our home furnishings are getting put in storage, some we are selling and very little of it is actually going in the 5er (5th wheel trailer).  Space bags will be our friends!
We are kind of in limbo, wanting to get on the road, but needing to tie up life as it is.
